"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. – John 15 v 1-3
Yeshua introduces us to the Father as a Gardener so that we may understand His characteristic. There are certain instruments of the trade a gardener deals with, seed, soil, water, trimming and pruning equipment. The gardener must also make sure that weed, thorns and thistles do not choke the plants, the roots and fruits. Most importantly he must depend on the rain to fall in its season and knows what to plant in the Spring and in the Autumn. Yeshua is reminding us that the Father wants us to know His times, seasons, days and years because they are a sign.
In Nissan March/April – Exodus 12, Moshe is introduced to his early rain and latter rain cycles so that Israel may know what to expect and what to do. As we begin the Month of the Father, may we engage with the heaven, the teaching of the Kingdom of God that we may be introduced to the Father.
Prayer points.
1. Yeshua, teach us how to remain in you that we may meet the Father- John 15.
2. I am ready to be ploughed and the soil in me treated- Psalms 32
3. My Father, the Gardener and the Vinedresser to cut out all dead branches in me that I may bear much fruit
